The Arkansas Epsilon chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon at Arkansas Tech University won the 2021 Co-Ed softball intramural championship with an undefeated season. The team showed complete dominance in every aspect, compiling a 159-31 run differential on the season. The team averaged 19.5 runs a game (1st). They also averaged 2 runs against them a game (1st).
The team, named “SigEp Softball”, consisted of Bailey Butler at short-stop, Aspen Smith in right field, Brittany Shannon in middle-right field, Brayden Gilmore in center field, Michaela Ball in middle-left field, Dylan Kats at second base, Jacob Holloway at pitcher, Sarah Moore in left field, Jaxsen Franco at third base, Kaelyn Mills at first base, and Kendall Ellison at catcher.
SigEp Softball won its first game of the season against the Lowballers with a score of 15 to 2. They won their second game against Kappa Alpha with a score of 25 to 3. They won their third game against Destination Sendsville with a score of 15 to 3. They won their fourth game against the Sons of Pitches with a score of 25 to 3. They won their fifth game, again playing the Lowballers, with a score of 14 to 1. They then won their final regular season game against Delta Pi with a score of 20 to 0.
SigEp Softball then blazed a trail through the playoffs, easily eliminating their opponents. The team was riding a ton of momentum. They walked into the championship game against Kappa Sigma as the easy favorite. Kappa Sigma gave SigEp Softball more of a fight than any other team on the season, but our brothers prevailed! SigEp went home that night as Intramural Softball Champions, continuing to pile on accolades to our successful resume.
